Valentine's Day

I found these mugs at Walfart.  They are painted with chalkboard paint that allows you to draw on them with chalk (duh).  The mugs came with a bag of pink heart shaped marshmallows.  I bought chalk for them to go to town with & used it to label their mugs professionally.  They enjoyed home made hot chocolate in them when our power came back on the following day.  The mugs are totally dishwasher safe & they can redecorate them after every wash:)

Brynn's Ankle Injury

On Tuesday, the YW and YM played basketball against each other.  I dropped Brynn off at the church on my way to Gig Harbor for eye appointments.  I had just gotten there when Brynn called me.  She was back home & in a lot of pain.  As is the risk of basketball, she rolled her ankle. 

 That is her ankle!  It was the size of a baseball by the time I got home.  

A BIG THANK YOU to Forrest for carrying her out to the car & to the Hardy's for bringing her home.  She promptly put ice on it & downed ibuprofen for the pain.  I went to Fred Meyer's pharmacy & got her a pair of crutches.  On Wednesday, she had it xray-ed & we were told it was NOT broken.  We were surprised for how bad it looked that it was just a severe sprain.  She's hoping that she won't need the crutches for too long.  She has a school dance on March 4th that we went dress shopping for last weekend.

Corn Maze

For Labor Day, we went to Poulsbo to a Corn Maze.  It's shaped like a tiger.  It was a lot of fun!  I took this picture so help Terry & I get through the maze.  The girls just took off on their own & did just fine.  We saw quite a few families from our ward there, too.

After the maze, we wandered a bit & found this pumpkin catapulting field.  There are 3 boxes you can choose to aim for.  To your left & past the boxes down there is a fenced off pond.  Guess where Terry aimed for his mini pumpkins to fly?

The Bushman's were one family we saw at the maze.

You  could look for your own pumpkin in their pumkin patch if you cut off your right arm and leg for payment.  Otherwise, you could just roam & enjoy the patch.

Livvy liked the Llamas and the barn the best.

Twins' 12th Birthday!

Emma & Kara turned 12 on September 23, 2010.  This is the year for birthday parties!  I've not really ever let my girls have "Friend" parties before, so this was HUGE.  They wanted to go to Claywerks, a pottery studio where they can paint a piece & have it fired in the keln.  I drew this beautiful sign on the chalkboard there.  I'm a natural:)

The twins really wanted these shirts they'd found on the internet.

Brynn's 14th Birthday

For all of you who are wondering, I'm just going to tell you:  I AM A SLACKER!   I am so behind on posts that it's ridiculous.   So I am attempting to just get these next few posts out of my "draft" mode & posted.  Short & sweet:

September 6, 2010 Brynn turned the big 14.  She had a fun party at home with her friends.  

They all took part in shoving one another's shirts with the wrapping paper to enhance their bosoms. 

Emily named her bosoms Helga & Olga.  Lovely:)
