My sister and her two girls came to visit us on their way to Victoria Island. We sluffed school (freakin' Washingtonians think school should take half of our summer!) and met them at the Science Center. "Free" is always great incentive for a visit!
I wish I could figure out how to do picture collages. Then there wouldn't be so many pictures to look at. But since I'm not savvy enough, and I don't feel like doing another slide show, this will just be a long post:)
Brynn, Emma, Sarah, Kara, Livvy, and Emily on the caterpillar statue in the Insect Village.
Gross! Which makes them cool! They're a delicacy. :)
Yummmmm!
Naked Moles. Only their mother could love 'em.
Isn't he soooo cute! Totally made me laugh! I can't remember what it is. It's gotta be some kind of salamander. It was completely submerged in the water tank and just hamming it up for the camera!
This is one of the only pictures Sarah willingly let me take. I think it was one of the very first ones taken. She got smarter as the day wore on.
I didn't even know they had a "tide pool" here. But the girls were quick to find it! It was just enough to whet their appetites for the Seattle Aquarium.
This is the butterfly of the month.
Chrysalis Window. Those 2 butterflies just emerged that day & were still drying out their wings.
These butterflies LOVED Emily! She had one on her 3 or 4 different times and they sat there forever!
This butterfly is the favorite. So beautiful!
It's always fun when you're the destination of the butterflies resting pedestal!
Sarah had some land on her, too.
She continued to stick her arm out hoping for another landing.

This represents the seagull attack we experienced while trying to eat our snacks outside. I was talking to my sister and then saw a seagull swooping in from behind her, aiming for our food. Korin couldn't see the pesky thing coming. I screamed ('cause that's what we do at our house to scare crows & seagulls away) and Korin totally did a girly scream & jumped up & ran away from the table. By then all the girls were screaming. It was hilarious!!! We all had a great laugh at ourselves and we all agreed that it was a favorite part of the day!
